Website:

The Information Technology Sub Team is responsible for maintaining our team's website. The website serves as a way for our team to disseminate the message of FIRST. At the beginning of the 2013 season. Previously in the place of the Division menu was a list of all the different sub teams. However, the sub teams were reorganized under divisions and therefore the website changed with it. The team is also creating and editing more website code and using languages such as PHP, CSS and HTML.

Scouting:

The Info Tech team is also responsible for creating the scouting system. This system is implemented to allow team members to input real time data during the regional and championship competitions. This system organizes and analyzes the data so the drive team can be prepared for the upcoming matches. Our team collects quantitative match data, and stores it in a MySQL database. We share all of this scouting data with all the other teams at the competition, so that they can also use it to develop their own pre-game strategies.

Tips for Rookies:

Although familiarity to a programming language is recommended, it is not a requirement. Most of the work we do is with the design and content of the website. The programming languages that we use include HTML, CSS, PHP, and SQL.
