For the 2013 build season, we have formed an alliance with MORT FIRST Team 11, RoboRaiders FIRST Team 75, and Xtreme Heat FIRST Team 223 to share ideas and help each other out for this upcoming season. Through weekly Skype meetings, we will get together to discuss designs and strategies, and to make sure that everyone understands this year’s game “Ultimate Ascent”. We will also travel together to different competitions. This will be very beneficial for cutting back on expenses and sharing. Working together will greatly benefit all involved and make us a better team overall.

MORT FIRST Team 11
The Mount Olive Robotics Team (MORT) is a competitive robotics team based at the Mount Olive High School in Flanders, New Jersey. Every year in January and February they design and build a robot to compete in the annual FIRST robotics competition.
The FIRST Mount Olive Robotics Team was established in fall of 1996 by Mount Olive High School teacher Bill McGowan as a joint partnership between the County College of Morris and Mount Olive High School. The team had only six students, few tools, and access only to the school’s wood shop. The first competition for MORT was at the Rutgers Mid-Atlantic Regional in March of 1997.
Today, MORT is the largest club at Mount Olive High School with over 85 student members, Mount Olive teachers, college professors, engineers, adult mentors, active alumni, and parents. MORT enjoys the support of local businesses as well as the continued support of the County College of Morris. MORT has formed an official club at Mount Olive High School, and enrollment in technology courses has tripled thanks to its efforts.
